MAP Keeper’s Club PDF Print E-mail
The MAP Keepers’ Club was launched and piloted in five corporate-area schools to continue efforts to sensitise the nation about the MAP. This was a targeted approach to the development of the nation’s children as they became aware of their role in this great nation. The programme operates under the theme, “Let the children pray! Let the children read! Let the children sing! Let the children clean and beautify, so that Jamaica may under God increase.”

Music In Schools Programme PDF Print E-mail
The Programme encourages children to embrace the principles of the MAP through music.  This activity supports the arm of the MAP Keepers’ Club, “Let the children sing!”  Four electronic pianos were donated to the Programme by Dr David Van Koevering and Mr Huntley Brown of the United States.    Four of the five schools piloting the MAP Keepers’ Club will benefit.  HANDS will further partner with the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) in developing and expanding this Programme.
 
Annual MAP Awards PDF Print E-mail
The first occurred in October 2007 where a number of Jamaica’s pioneers were honoured. These included the Most Honourable Sir Howard Cooke, Drs. the Honourable Bishop Carmen Stewart and Herro Blair, the Honourable Danvers Williams as well as the Honourable Alfred Sangster along with Dr Michael Lee Chin and others.

Annual Jamaica Homecoming PDF Print E-mail
Jamaica Homecoming has been a project of HANDS since 2004. The importance of Homecoming has been emphasised in the patriotic push for Jamaicans at home and abroad to unite and to work diligently and creatively towards the vision of Jamaica under God. This evolved out of the book tour of ‘Eternal Father Bless Our Land’ which sparked the flame of interest of Jamaicans abroad who had great concerns about the Nation and desired to see its restoration.
